02Description of Service

TapTempoTools provides a free, browser-based music tempo toolkit including:

  • A tap tempo BPM counter — detects beats per minute from user tap input
  • A built-in metronome — plays audible clicks at the detected BPM
  • A time signature selector — supports 4/4, 3/4, 6/8, 2/4, 5/4, and 7/8
  • A consistency graph — visualises tap accuracy in real time
  • Educational articles about BPM, tempo, music theory, and DAW integration

The Service is provided at no charge. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice or liability.

03Permitted Use

TapTempoTools grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for:

  • Personal music listening, practice, and creative enjoyment
  • Professional music production — using BPM readings in your own commercial work
  • DJ and live performance — detecting and matching track tempos
  • Educational purposes — learning about tempo, BPM, and music theory
  • Teaching — demonstrating tempo concepts to students
  • Fitness and wellness — BPM detection for workout music or heart rate estimation

You may share links to TapTempoTools freely. You may reference TapTempoTools in blog posts or tutorials with clear attribution and a link back to the site.

04Prohibited Use

You agree not to use the Service in any way that:

  • Violates any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation
  • Attempts to scrape, copy, or reproduce our HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or written content without written permission
  • Uses automated bots or scripts to access or interact with the Service
  • Attempts to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure
  • Reverse-engineers or decompiles any component of the Service
  • Removes, obscures, or alters any proprietary notices or branding
  • Republishes our tool or source code as your own product without express written permission
  • Damages or could damage the reputation of TapTempoTools

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAPTEMPOTOOLS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT BPM READINGS WILL BE ACCURATE FOR ALL APPLICATIONS.

07Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAPTEMPOTOOLS AND ITS OWNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING INACCURATE BPM READINGS, DECISIONS MADE BASED ON THE TOOL'S OUTPUT, OR ANY INTERRUPTION OF THE SERVICE. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

08Accuracy of BPM Results

BPM readings depend entirely on the consistency of your tap input. The following limitations apply:

  • Input-dependent: Irregular tapping produces inaccurate readings. For best results, tap at least 8–10 times consistently
  • Not a medical device: Heart rate estimation via tap is not a certified medical device. Do not use for clinical diagnosis or health-critical decisions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns
  • Not professional audio analysis: TapTempoTools is a manual tap-based tool, not an automated audio analyser. Professional BPM analysis software may provide greater precision for certain applications

09Third-Party Links & Services

TapTempoTools may contain links to third-party websites for informational purposes. We have no control over the content or availability of third-party websites and accept no responsibility for them. Links do not imply endorsement. You access third-party sites at your own risk.

10Advertising

TapTempoTools may display advertisements via Google AdSense. By using the Service, you acknowledge that: advertisements are clearly distinct from editorial content; TapTempoTools does not endorse advertised products or services; advertising partners may use cookies as described in our Privacy Policy; and we are not responsible for the content or accuracy of third-party advertisements.

11Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or update the Service at any time without notice. We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the website. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with updated Terms, stop using the Service.

12Termination

TapTempoTools may terminate or restrict your access to the Service without notice if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Since no account or registration is required, there is nothing for you to cancel. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limitations — shall survive.

13Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. TapTempoTools is operated from Chakwal, Punjab, Pakistan. Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. Please contact us at contact@taptempotools.com before initiating any formal proceedings.

As TapTempoTools serves a global audience, we also respect the consumer protection laws applicable in your own jurisdiction where these provide non-waivable rights. Nothing in these Terms overrides your statutory rights under the law of your country of residence.
